Goal Setting: We all set goals, most are not achieved. When they are achieved, we get excited, proud, and share the goals with everyone. It may be called bragging, and that is not bad when you have actually done what you set out to do, that becomes a new strength. Let’s do more of these. Setting goals is one thing. Follow-through is the other. We will also review why you should delegate tasks to others.

Here are the 12 modules you will be walked through and asked to complete after the session to support S.M.A.R.T. goals.

  • Clarify your purpose – what you want to accomplish
  • Choose your goal – be sure it is what you want by the Goal Adoption Test
  • Write it down – that starts the commitment process and action steps
  • Make them challenging! Better than your previous best but achievable
  • Include all 8 areas of your life – career to social family, physical, relationships
  • Consult and include your family. Everyone needs to be on board to support you
  • Create short and long term goals. Write them down post them, review them
  • Be as detailed as possible – called ‘Possibility Thinking’
  • Set deadlines. And the goals arrive.
  • Think big. What you imagine, is what you get.
  • Make a commitment to action.
  • Light a fire of intense burning desire! In other words, no failure thoughts.

But we need to start off with getting meetings under control.

Meeting Mastery: Clear simple effective techniques to reduce time spent in meetings to maximize everyone’s effectiveness. 50% of meetings run too long, and 50% of participants are not prepared - or should not be there.

Here is what will be introduced to you:

  • How to ensure the meeting is necessary and the criteria to run it
  • Designing an agenda and program for each meeting
  • Guidelines for being the Chairman of the meeting
  • How to personally get the most out of the meeting
  • Understanding the basic rules of meetings
  • Post-meeting personal actions steps to follow

There will be several templates shown on how to organize and run meetings, ensure maximum attendance, and keeping stress down.

Who Should Attend

This is for anyone who wants to get real control over their day, time and life.

Why Should You Attend

Setting and sharing of goals is important, but they must be articulated, documented, tracked and shared with others along the way.

If you work smarter and have a solid set of goals, success will follow.  Ask yourself, what is the best thing (choice/activity / decision) I must make today to ensure a successful day? Solid planning, preparation, persistence, and recording of activities and results will help. This is also about who you can ask for help to get to your goals, called coaches or partnerships.

As Dr. Jack Grossman once famously said: “Living is the business of making desires and dreams come true.”

As most people spend a lot of time in meetings, an additional module on controlling them is essential to your work and life success.

Topic Background

This is a remarkable presentation as it delves into two really important areas of your life and workday. Knowing what you want to become in the future and how to get there the best way possible.

If you have ever said: “I can’t stand these meetings”, this will turn them around for you by showing you how to take control and make the best use of your time before and after the meeting, your time in the meeting, and what you really should be doing instead of being in that meeting.

If you have ever said: “I wish I could do that…” or set a goal or several goals, and did not reach any of them because you were vague on timing and action steps, then this session will show how to generate your mind set to accomplish them, and exceed them.
