You will learn how to have an open communication line with your team. More than talking, you as the manager shall be listening actively, the number 1 skill for all leaders.

Building trust within your team, specifically if you are friends and you become their manager, you need to juggle the internal conflict and manage expectations.

And trust is not easy to establish. Be yourself, and authentic, at the same time do what you committed to do, walk the talk and be open and vulnerable at the same time. Empathy and building rapport, getting to know your team are essential milestones to create trust, which will lead to productivity and engagement of the employees. 

Delegation and time management is another topic that can be a challenge. How to delegate, and how to organize your time efficiently.

The main challenge is that you are now a Manager and shall delegate tasks as opposed to do it yourself. For that, you need to be able to trust your team and give clear expectations and instructions so that you can focus on your own responsibilities.
