Mr. Ronald Sereika has over thirty five years of experience in management, financial analysis, credit and collections, and customer service. His background includes working in the clothing, food and beverage, building products, medical device industry and currently the direct mail industry; all these have contributed to his broad knowledge of diverse industries, a unique skill set that benefits any size or type of company.


Promoting employees is an essential part of a company’s success; however, it is a lot more challenging than people realize. There are positives as well as negatives in promoting employees and all of management must be aware of this. Promoting union and non-union employees is quite different and this needs to be spelled out in the company’s promotion policy. There are different types of promotions and different methods of promotions, and these will all be discussed. There are acceptable criteria that needs to be spelled out for promotions as well as attributes of the person considered to be for a promotion. Looking at an employee’s personal characteristics also comes into play when considering a promotion as well as the qualities that the employee exemplifies. We will discuss the process a company should have in place for promotions and the importance of everyone in the organization understanding the policy. The topic of promotions without compensation will be discussed as well as the negatives that can occur when an employee is promoted. If promotions are not handled properly, it can negatively impact the organization so that will be discussed also.
