The Excel Data Analysis ToolPak Add-in allows Excel users to solve statistical analysis problems without the need for a statistical background or being familiar with conventional Excel statistical functions. This tool can solve your problems applicable to finance, statistics, engineering, and more.

The “Descriptive Statistics” feature of the Data Analysis ToolPak, allows you to analyze data and get all the statistical summaries of that data (Sum, Average, High, Low, Median, Standard Deviations, and a few more) with just a few clicks.

The “Histogram” part of this tool, creates a frequency distribution of occurrences and a frequency-distribution-chart without the effort and know-how that other statistical functions require.

The “Correlation” feature of the ToolPak is a tool that will, almost instantly, generate all the multiple correlation coefficients between a number of variables simultaneously.

This workshop will cover the recently introduced “Forecast Sheet” an easy-to-use tool to help you forecast future values based on historical data.

This tool will work for you again, without a statistical background.

You will receive all the Excel files before the workshop – so that you can practice all these techniques during the workshop and on your own.

Areas Covered

  • Learn how to download the Excel Data Analysis ToolPak
  • Review most of the 19 statistics applications the tool can solve
  • Focus on three applications; descriptive statistics, histograms, and correlations
  • Create mathematical formulas on data, using simple charts
  • Use Excel tool for effortless forecasting

Course Level - This workshop uses Fundamental concepts. The tools presented need beginners' Excel skills

Who Should Attend

Excel users who would like to acquire statistical tools for daily use and decision-making. This workshop was taught by a presenter in the executive MBA programs, where the attendees did not have a statistical background.
