CPA with 18+ years of expatriate/foreign national taxation experience with running an international expatriate program. Currently working as the Global Mobility Tax Manager for a global organization Owns consulting firm that provides consulting and compliance services relating to US expatriate and foreign national tax issues.

This session will cover the US Taxation of Foreign Nationals. Specifically, we will focus on how to determine the tax filing status, the specific tax treatment of each type of taxpayer, we will review certain elections and treaties and other important issues. This session will review the difference between Resident Aliens (filing Forms 1040), Nonresident Aliens (filing Forms 1040NR) and Dual-Status Aliens (filing both Forms 1040 and 1040NR).

This session will also walk through detailed, specific information on elections that are available and how they will apply to certain taxpayers. We will wrap up with some of the other issues which are important to foreign national taxpayers.
