FFIEC BSA-AML Examination Manual - What Compliance Officers Really Need to Know
Justin brings over 20 years of wide-ranging experience in compliance,
training, and regulation in the financial services sector. Most
recently, he served as Head of Compliance Training at Bank of China
where he led the compliance training function and created and monitored
the annual training plan through a thorough training needs analysis.
Previously he served as Macquarie Group’s Head of Americas Compliance
Training and JPMorgan Chase’s Compliance Training Manager. Justin also
worked for FINRA, a US regulator, where he created Examiner University
to train examiners on how to perform their function.
The agencies that comprise the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) created the FFIEC Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Examination Manual. These examination procedures apply to banks, savings and loan associations, savings associations, credit unions, and branches, agencies, and representative offices of foreign banks.
Manual provides guidance to examiners for carrying out BSA/AML and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) examinations. Provides guidance on identifying and controlling risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing.
